Its been a month since I bought and I also own a FC3 for few years now. This is very effective and powerful than fc3. I had no issues with fc3 apart from battery deterioration. Lost about 20-30% of its running time in 4 yrs. Also I have a pet at home and with a larger tank for dirty water it's much easier. Highly recommend !

I bought the FC5 Cordless to replace an FC5 Corded unit. Unfortunately the FC5 cordless unit is no where near as good as the corded version. The cordless vs corded version: - leaves significant amount of water behind (suction significantly better on corded, corded version would leave floor barely damp, compared to very wet with cordless) - clean water compartment is rapidly used (15mins of continuous use drains compartment, whereas corded version would last for 40+ mins - left hand roller often comes out for little apparent reason, so you have to stop put roller back in before continuing (corded version never had this issue) - clean water and dirty water compartments are harder to remove (very tight fitting), whereas corded version was easy. - roller action on cordless version doesn’t easily remove drink/food stains on tiles - takes multiple passes (at least five), whereas corded version would simply clean in a single pass On top of this battery life is max 20mins, which is same as stated in manual, however you can’t clean more than a large room at once - its impossible to clean an area more than 100m^2 before battery is drained, then you need to wait 4hrs for it to charge. So cleaning a whole house with hard floors can take multiple days :( Have purchased and owned multiple FC5 corded units over 10 years, very disappointed with the FC5 cordless unit. If you’re considering the cordless unit, buy the FC5 corded instead.

I bought a corded FC5 and it is impossible to clean the detergent release. It has been been serviced 3 times as it keeps blocking despite using Karcher products as directed. Don't buy one.
