Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 1 x tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 x Onion finely chopped
  • 500g Beef mince
  • 1 x tsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1-2 x tsp Crushed garlic
  • 1 x Red capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 x Pun net cherry / egg tomatoes halved
  • 2 x tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 x tbsp Gravox mix
  • 2 x tsp Refined salt
  • 2 x tsp Italian dried herbs
  • 1 x tsp Chilli paste
  • ½ Cup beef stock
  • ½ Cup fresh basil leaves finely chopped
  • ¼ Grated parmesan cheese
  • 250g Spaghetti (number 5)
  • Directions

  • Heat oil in a saucepan and saute onion.
  • Add red wine vinegar and salt and pepper.
  • Add minced beef until browned.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta.
  • Add Gravox to the beef and mix well, combine with beef stock.
  • Add crushed garlic, capsicum, tomatoes, tomato paste and dried herbs to beef and reduce over low heat then simmer until sauce is reduced whilst mixing regularly.
  • To serve, present pasta in a bowl and spoon over the bolognese and finish with grated parmesan.
