Samsung - Your TVs don't last like they used to.
Bought this tv back in Dec 2019. Part of the panel turned dark under a year. Got it replaced under warranty. Went totally dark yesterday, no picture. Disappointed. My older Samsung TVs are still functioning.

Enjoy Samsung Plus TV
I've had my tv for almost 5 years now and really enjoy the 4K. I love the Samsung Plus TV service that gives me subscription tv for free! I love that it has two anime channels plus the Vevo music channels, just love the Retro Rock channel. My only complaint is that I have to reset my memory once a month because it says the memory is full, and I hope Samsung puts in more memory in future models since streaming is now my only way to watch tv.

Excellent service from appliances online. Delivered on time and great communication re the delivery time. This is the second time I have purchased products from appliances online and I can't fault them. Matt in product support went over and above my expectations- my new tv didn't have enough ports for both my pay tv and dvd player and when I contacted the support team, Matt emailed me with advice and suggestions then went on ebay and found me the cable I needed. Try getting that service at one of the big retail stores. If you are thinking of buying an appliance and wonder if appliances online is as great as the customer reviews say- YES IT IS. Unfortunately, the remote control included with the Samsung TV is not universal, although it is able to control some basic functions such as volume, when compatible devices are connected through HDMI. Hi Tracy, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the smart remote that you prefer, is not available to be purchased separately, and the replacement remote controls will generally replicate the design of the 'standard' black remote that you already have. The only functional benefit that the smart remote would have over your current one is the ability to perform voice commands, however, if you connect a Google assistant enabled smart speaker to the same network as your TV, then you can perform voice searches with the Google speaker that can control the TV.
