Switching from espresso extraction to steaming milk is instantaneous, so you don’t have to wait around.

    Compact design

    This machine’s economical footprint means it can be integrated into any interior design. You also have more storage options for when you’re not using the machine, but a coffee hiatus sounds somewhat mythical, so you may never get to packing it away.

    Microfoam texturing

    Microfoam is steamed milk that is velvety smooth in texture, ideal for creating latte art. What you want is foam with small, even bubbles (unless you are trying to make a cappuccino). This machine’s 1600-watt element gives you adequate steam to create rosettes, hearts, and more. Microfoam will also enhance the overall flavour of your cup.

    Honest review of a beginner espresso maker.
    As my first “proper” espresso machine I chose the B+ for its user friendliness. The fast heat up time, the auto steaming, it’s in built PID etc. Overall I am happy with the machine. There are some quirks and small things I was expecting to be slightly better I.e. the drip tray is tiny and also quite lose, makes a mess when trying take it out and generally isn’t well made. The light weight is such that the machine moves when trying to attach the portafikter. Maybe more rubberised feet would be useful. My pucks also come out very wet every time, which may be something I’m doing wrong whilst pulling a shot? Overall it’s a great little machine, once you figure out its quirks and once you’ve nailed a workflow that suits you.
