Beginning with a German fan and motor assembly, Schweigen quickly became acknowledged as makers of quiet, efficient, and powerful extractors. With included fire-resistant ducting, energy-efficient motors, and multiple ventilation solutions, Schweigen provides everything you need to start extracting heavy steam, smoke, and odours from your kitchen.
The heart of Schweigen rangehoods, the Isodrive motor system, is engineered using an advanced German-made EBM motor and fan. This centrifugal fan has been designed to pull air, as opposed to pushing it like a traditional rangehood, resulting in less airflow resistance and a more efficient rangehood.
Six extractor sizes cater for all cooking needs, while the different Isodrive motor housings have been developed to consider the best airflow, further maximising efficient extraction. Much like standard rangehoods, the ideal Isodrive motor depends on how and what you cook.
For light cooking such as boiling pasta and steaming vegetables, the Isodrive 650 is sufficient. For the grilling of steaks and shallow frying, the Isodrive 900 will provide optimal extraction power. And for heavy steaming, grilling, or induction cooking, the Isodrive 1650 will be an ideal match.
Using supplied flexi-ducting, the Isodrive motor system can be installed outside your home—either on the roof, wall, or eave. However, Schweigen recommends only installing their smallest motor (the S1.650) on the eave due to weight considerations.
Positioned against a wall, directly over the cooking area, wallmount rangehoods are known for their efficiency and performance. This can be aided by the surrounding wall and cabinetry to direct steam and smoke directly into the head. Due to their design, wallmount rangehoods can also be referred to as canopy rangehoods, as they extend over the cooking area.
A popular choice for open-plan kitchens, island rangehoods find themselves positioned over a kitchen island benchtop. With this central placement, cooks, chefs, and culinarians can be engaged in conversation with friends and family, aided by the silence of the Schweigen rangehood.
Do you love the sophistication and elegance of a modern kitchen? Want the functionality of a rangehood without it standing out? Look no further than a Schweigen undermount rangehood. Undermount rangehoods are installed into overhead cabinetry, unobtrusively waiting until they’re needed.
Integrated in the kitchen bulkhead or ceiling, ceiling cassette rangehoods combine a sleek profile with powerful extraction. Whether you’re enjoying conversation with your family, watching your favourite movie as you cook, or taking in a delightful sight, a ceiling cassette rangehood will provide you with uninterrupted views and efficient air extraction.
Keeping the air around your grill or outdoor kitchen free from grease, smoke, and odours, a BBQ alfresco rangehood makes use of weather-resistant stainless steel and powerful extraction systems. Enjoy fresh, clean air when grilling outdoors with a Schweigen BBQ rangehood.
Developed for use in almost any room in your home and powered by the Isodrive motor system, exhaust fans can be installed to assist with odours, moisture, and ventilation issues.
The sizzling of steak searing, the frying of fillets, the caramelising of carrots, the buzz of conversation. The sounds of the kitchen are varied and enticing but the whir of the rangehood can often overcome them. To bring tranquility back into the kitchen, Schweigen designed a selection of silent rangehoods, equipped with an exterior centrifugal fan for efficient extraction without disturbing the ambience of the home.
With its support of Australian jobs and local industries, Schweigen combines Australian manufacturing with the German-engineered Isodrive motor system. Installed outside the home and protected by durable ASA plastic or Colorbond steel, Isodrive powers the extraction of the rangehood without the noise associated with other rangehoods.
Bringing peace back into the kitchen, Schweigen rangehoods have been designed to be ‘Simply Silent’.
