Over 50 years of constant innovation has led KEF to this moment, a practitioner of incredible audio engineering and a herald of momentous sound. From the magnificently wide soundstage of the Q-Series and LSX Uni-Q, to the resounding boom of the Kube, KEF brings auditory magic to life, and they have no signs of slowing down.
The Q-Series makes it feel as if you are truly alive, enshrouding you in mesmerising sound that you have to hear to truly believe. From the upward-firing Dolby-Atmos-Compatible Q50a, to the towering Q950 floorstanding speaker, the Q-Series covers all the bases when it comes to amazing sound immersion. Whether it’s the large sound field generated by the Uni-Q driver array, or impactful bass courtesy of the Auxiliary Bass Radiator, the Q-Series range delivers room-filling sound with every note and every beat.
Earth-shaking beats and detailed bass are the cause for, and the result of, the Kube’s creation, because if you can’t feel the rumbling low tones in your very soul do you really have bass? The three variants of the Kube, differing only in driver and cabinet sizes, all benefit from the high-quality construction KEF is known for.
From conception to construction, KEF units are designed completely in-house; enabling them to forge a creation that works in true unity. With all components working in absolute synergy, you are rewarded with a detailed sound that awakens your spirit in the most beautiful of ways.
By uniting the talents of renowned product designer Michael Young, contemporary textile designer Kvadrat and the audio wizards at KEF, the LSX Active Speakers were born. Accompanying you on all your entertainment adventures, the LSX speakers cascade magical audio over your home, whether it’s your favourite movie, a suspenseful TV show, the latest game or heart-racing music.
Choose from an assortment of five different colours, each looking just as vibrant as they sound. The bespoke Music Integrity Engine assists the speakers in delivering transparent bass with great extension, all the while reducing distortion. But the heart of the LSX is the patented Uni-Q driver array, widening the sweet spot; making your audio richer and more detailed.
Characterised by gently-flowing curves and a smooth exterior, the KEF Egg Speaker is capable of creating audio magic. Imparting renowned KEF audio quality, thanks to the innovation that is the Uni-Q driver array, the Egg maintains consistent, high-quality audio integrity that elevates your audio to new heights. Used with your TVs, laptops and wirelessly connecting to your smart devices, almost every audio accessory in your home can benefit from the detailed, clear tones the KEF Egg produces.
From the very first moment of its conception, KEF and its founder Raymond Cooke OBE, placed the utmost focus and priority on delivering innovative, high-quality audio products. Cooke, an ex-electrical engineer, was eager to experiment with new materials, components, and technologies. He aimed to create outstanding audio products that could reproduce recordings with sound just as natural as the original production’s.
In their quest to produce powerful, uplifting speakers, KEF applied rigorous engineering in every single key area of the design process. Beginning with the driver, new units were developed using the latest synthetic materials: Bextrene, Neoprene, Melinex, and Polystyrene. Then came the challenge of merging these drivers with their enclosures and crossover networks in such a way that pushed the barrier of what is auditorily possible.
This eagle-eyed focus has helped KEF to develop incredible innovations in sound, including the Uni-Q driver array, which allows for an incredibly wide and consistent soundscape over all the frequencies.
With over 50 years of audio innovation, KEF has forged a reputation for producing high-quality drive units which have been utilised in countless systems internationally. While today’s KEF speakers are designed for purely domestic audio, their Reference Series is still considered one of the closest reproductions of natural sound. Because of this, the Reference Series is still used by studios all around the world.
