GE Gas Clothes Dryer - Appliances Online AustraliaRelatively new to Australia, Gas Clothes Dryers have revolutionised clothes drying appliance technology as we know it.

Gas Clothes Dryers dry clothes in around half the time, producing around half the greenhouse emissions of electric dryers and cost about half as much to run.

High efficiency gas is used to heat the air and gently dry clothes. Many models even have in-built sensors to ensure that clothes don’t over-dry. This eliminates the build-up of static electricity and ensures that the clothes are not only soft, but mostly wrinkle-free which means there is minimal ironing required (if any).

The major players in this market are Rinnai and Speed Queen, producing 4, 6 and 9kg models to match your standard electric machine capacities.

Almost all models can be used on Natural Gas or LPG if required.

Next time your old dryer breaks down, have a think about gas. You may pay a bit more for the machines but with the ever rising cost of electricity, gas may be a viable option for you.

And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.

Thanks for the heads up, they look like they’re going to be good.
Only thing I can think of is that unless you’re designing you’re own home, and purposefully include a gas outlet in the laundry, it’s going to cost a few bob to get a plumber to put one in there for you 🙁
